Puce Roses Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Meissen in about 1745. Both are hand painted with puce flowers reminiscent of the woodcut style but more stylized and really quite interesting and stunning looking. The cup and saucer also have a fancy gold trim and a ribbed design to the paste itself. Both pieces are in superb condition with a tiny bit of wear to the gold trim on the very edge and the saucer has lots of faint tiny firing spots to it. The cup is 1.875 inch tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.3.75 inches in diameter. Both are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as an impressed number. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
