Fun Pre 1740 Creamer

This is a rare early barrel shaped milk jug / creamer made by Meissen before 1740. Nice shape with the relief double rings on the rims, the handle on the side and the flat lid with the superb floral finial. It does not have an impressed number yet but I don't think it is much before 1740. Maybe a year or two. The piece has a large floral arrangement hand painted on the front and back with lots of single small flowers scattered around the main body and lid as well as the handle. Gold trim to the top edge and lid edge plus a bit to the edge of the handle. The little pot is stunning and in great condition with just a touch of wear, one chip to a petal of the finial and one of the finial leaves has a chip as well. It is plays superbly! Marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords to the bottom as shown. A firing crack goes through the mark which is very typial of their early wares! The creamer with the lid in place is 3.25 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter with the handle sticking out about 1 inch and the spout about 0.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
