Grapevine Relief Cup & Saucer

This is a nice blanc de chine cup and saucer made by Meissen around the mid 18th century. The top of the saucer and inside of the cup is just simply white but the underside of the saucer and outside of the cup are nicely decorated with the grape vine or trailing vine pattern in relief. Not one you see very often at all. The white pieces were more valued than the painted ones during this time since it showes off the porcelain they were so proud of. The set is in great condition with two tiny black firing spots on the top side of the saucer and one to the otuside of the cup from when it was made plus a crack to the bottom terminal of the cup as shown. The saucer is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as shown used until 1763 while the cup has the dot mark used starting in 1763 so the set dates right to around this year. Both also have an impressed number. The cup is 1.875 inches tall with a diameter of 3.125 inches while the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall.
