Green Watteau Service Royal Cup

This is a rare treat - a cup from the green Watteau ( gruenes Watteau ) service made for the royal court of Saxony by Meissen in the 19th century. This cup was part of the royal court bakery set! It is hand painted with a mostly copper green Watteau scene of a couple in a landscape surrounding on one side and a single gentleman on the other side as well as a floral arrangement to the side and three small flowers by the handle. Nice handle shape, gold trim to the edge and the Gotskowsky relief design to the paste in between the paintings. The original set was modeled by J.F. Eberlein in the mid 18th century so this cup is a later replacement piece. The cup is in perfect condition but no saucer :( It is 2.625 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.75 inches. It is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as shown as well as Hof-Conditorei in black as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
