Grey Dragon Flower Pot

This is a rare small flower / cache pot / jadiniere made by Meissen in the later 20th century. It has a nice shape to it with a twisted branch handle to either side and is hand painted with their grey rich court dragon ( Hofdrachen ) design with touches of black and red. Grey symbolizes humbleness / unassumingness in Chinese culture. A bit of gold trim to the edges. Each side has a double phoenix bird design over the stretched out dragon with a fancy design under each of the handles. The piece is in perfect condition. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath as well as the usual impressed and other marks as shown. The pot is just over 4 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. The handles stick out a bit on either side. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
