Habsburg Plate

This is a great porcelain plate made by Meissen in about 1775. It is handpainted with a nice floral arrangement in the center with a great reticulated rim highlighted with a blue and gold design. The famous Habsburg family ordered a large service with exactly this design in 1775 some of which can be seen at the Hofsilberkammer in Vienna. The plate is in great condition with some falking to the gold on the edge of the rim. Some minor firing flaws some of which have been covered by tiny leaves, etc. Tiny bit of stacking wear. The plate is 0.75 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords with the star of the Marcolini period as well as a blue painter's mark on the footring.
