Hoeroldt Chinoiserie Teabowl

This is a superb tea bowl or Köppchen made by Meissen in 1723 and possibly made of Boettger porcelain. The cup is handpainted with two top notch Chinoiserie scenes painted by Johann Gregorius Höroldt himself. They are surrounded by some really nice fancy gilding as shown. The inside rim has some more fancy gilding and the bottom has an Indian flower design that is very early. The Chinoiserie scenes are really detailed and fun and have the all important green color in them. The piece is in perfect condition except for a flake in the green of one of the scenes. An easy fix if need be. Unmarked except for a gild 38 and a line on the footring likely person that made the cup. It is about 1.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.
