Hoeroldt Chinoiserie Tea Caddy

This is as good as it comes even for Meissen - a pear shaped hexagonal tea caddy / jar with rounded shoulders and its lid painted by Johann Gregorius Höroldt - the master of them all! It was made in about 1725 and is hand painted with different Chinoiserie figurines on green terraces (the most important color to show it is from this period) and insects on six panels. Gold trim to divide the panels and the bottom was finished by grinding it flat a common practice of the period. The lid has a nice gold design to the top. Recently had a little nick at the bottom fixed so now it is perfect again. Let me know if you have any questions.

Price is $9999
