Woodcut Flower Plate #2

This is a porcelain plate made by Meissen around 1740. It is handpainted with a few larger and a few smaller flowers scattered throughout in the old Holzschnitt style before Deutsche Blumen became the normal design. The rim has a nice basket weave design to it with a gold trim to the edge. The plate is in great condition with a little wear mostly to the one puce flower as shown. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 8.75 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as an impressed number 16. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $899
