Hunter Figurine

This is a figurine of a Bavarian Hunter modelled by Otto Jarl in 1904 and made by Meissen in the original period. The figurine is superbly modeled and painted in the typical Jugendstil style of the period. It is of a Bavarian or Tirolian hunter with a rifle in his right hand and used to have a walking stick in his left hand. He is wearing a typical hat of the region. The colors and modeling on this piece are top! Doesn't get better than this. This figurine is 11.25 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The piece is in great condition with the walking stick missing, a tiny chip to his coat on the left side and a few shallow unimportant chips to the base bottom rim mostly on the underside! The figurine is marked with the underglaze crossed swords mark underneath as well as an incised model number U160., an impressed numer 39, a red painters number 49. and the top of the base has Jarl 1904 Meissen incised in it.
