Kakiemon Cup w/ Damaged Handle

This is superbcup made by Meissen in about 1740. It is hand painted in the Kakiemon style with flowering chrysanthemum branches all around - a pattern I have not seen before that is quite stunning! The handle is in my favorite shape with a bit of puce trim to it and the top edge has a brown trim to it. The Kakiemon colors of this period are some of my favorites and this is one superb design! Sadly the cup has had the handle off and restored back on. It display perfectly so it's not the end of the world :) The piece is marked underneath with the crossed swords mark as shown as well as an impressed number. It is 2.625 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
