Kakiemon Demitasse Cup & Saucer #2

This is a mocha or espresso coffee demitasse cup and saucer made by Meissen in the 20th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a really superb Kakiemon style pattern that has all the typical colors and looks superb! I especially like the two bugs on the saucer! The design fills the surface of both pieces nicely and has a light brown trim just under the nicely shaped edge. Even a small extra flower to the bottom inside of the cup - a sure sign of quality! The handle of the cup is superb as well. Not a design one sees often as well and it really is stunning! This size cup is not easy to find and I like them better than regular sized pieces since they take up less room in the cabinet. The set is in perfect condition which never hurts either :) It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath (first quality) as well as the usual impressed and painted marks one expects from pieces of this period as shown. The cup is just under 2 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 4.25 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
