Kakiemon Fels & Vogel Box

This is a really nice lidded lidded box made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the earlier 20th century. It is hand painted with the Fels & Vogel design in polychrome with the design on the top of the lid as well as all around the outside of the main part, a superb trim around the edge of the lid and a bit of gilding to the edges. Not a design one sees often at all on these boxes and it looks stunning. The Kakiemon colors are always amazing! The lidded dish is in great condition with a tiny (and I mean tiny) chip to the udnerside edge of the lid as shown. The bottom part is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the tops (first quality) as well as the usual impressed marks (hard to see and a painter's number as shown. The box is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
