Kakiemon Saucer #3

This is superb saucer made by Meissen in about 1740. It is hand painted in the Kakiemon style with flowering chrysanthemum branches growing from hedges, with a yellow Pheonix in flight with blue wings and red tail feathers. Nice brown trim to the rims. Kakiemon colors of this period are some of my favorites and this is one superb design! The saucer is in about as good a condition as you could hope for with a very very minor amount of wear to two spots on the leaves. On the underside rim there is some brown trim color that has gotten onto the side as shown. The piece is marked underneath with the crossed swords mark as shown as well as an impressed number. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
