Kingfisher Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Meissen in about 1760. Both the cup and saucer have a handpainted large scene on them including birds on a branch as well as some small bugs. The saucer has a superb Kingfisher on it which was the reason I had to have the cup and the cup has an oriole (I think) and some sort of other bird on it. A lady bug on both pieces and a butterfly and some sort of other bug. Gold trim ot the rims and a bit of blue trim to the handle. The cup and saucer are in great condition with the gold trim worn on the top edges and one spots on the kingfisher where the paste was raised a bit udnerneath. The saucer is about 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.25 inch tall and 32.5 inches in diameter. Both pieces are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the bottom of the so called dot period. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
