Chinoiserie Box

This is a rare sugar box and as early a marked Meissen piece one can pretty much find. It was made in the 1723-1724 which is now almost 300 years ago. The box was superbly painted with a chinoiserie designs using their famous green as the color of the grass. Some nice floral, gold and puce trim as well as a typical finial to the lid. One of my oldest pieces and one of the neatest ones I have owned! The box is in great condition with some wear to the gold, the tip of the finial is chipped, there is an original firing crack in the lid rim, some wear to the scenes on the bottom part, and a few small nibbles on the edges that aren't bad at all. All in all in great condition considering the age! The box is about 3 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the famous and super early K.P.M. mark with the crossed swords under it. Finally sold after one heck of a buggered up deal - one reason I normally like to get paid up front since I know this side always works properly :) Please email me for more information or other pictures.
