Damaged Kakiemon Vase

This is a large lidded vase with its lid made by Meissen in the 20th century. Sadly damaged and reglued but sitll worth displaying or even ahving it restored. The lid is in perfect condition with a flaw to the gilding along the edge as shown from when it was made. It has a nice gold finial and two Kakiemon polychrome type flowers and a bug hand painted on it. The main body ahs an amazing Kakiemon flower design to the front and a smaller flower design with a bug over it in the back. A bit of gold trim as well. Sadly the underside as well as two large chunks along the side were broken and reglued. It just touches the edge of the simple red line design on the bottom edge of the decoration so if it does get restored it won't be very hard since one does not ahve to deal with the painted parts. Still displays nicely as is or if you just want the lid as a replacement for one you are missing here is your chance! The piece is about 15 inches tall and has a diameter of about 7 inches. The underside lid ring that would fit into the vase opening has an outer diameter of about 2.875 inches - maybe a touch more. The vase is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual other marks as shown. First choice off course. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
