Large Cobalt Blue & Gold Saucer

This is a large saucer dish made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. This would have been the saucer to one of those large cups with the claw feet - I attached a picture as an example at the end. The piece is hand painted with a fancy gold trim on cobalt blue ground and has a nice rim design in relief highlighted with gilding. A stunning saucer and if your cup is missing it here is a rare chance to create a perfect match. The saucer is in perfect condition. That cobalt blue combination with the gold is one of the best out there! The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords on the underside as well as the usual impressed number, a separate little blue mark I cannot make out and a painter's mark along the edge as shown. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and just under 7 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
