Cobalt Dinner Plate

This is a dinner plate made by Meissen in about 1820. It is handpainted with three cartouches of superb floral arrangements with bugs in the center and the rest of the plate is a deep cobalt blue. Some fancy gold trim on the rim and around the cartouches as well as in the center. It is rare to find these pieces from the earlier time periods as most of them are 20th century or late 19th century. The plate is in perfect condition. It is marked with the long underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as an impressed 6 and I or 1. There is also a black painters mark of a 20. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $799
