Large Rooster Figurine

This is a fun figurine of a rooster made by Meissen in the later 20th century. Super cute! Bigger than all the other rooseters I currently have, superbly modeled and hand painted to perfection! The figure has a typical posture for this bird, Standing on a white base with a leafy plant under him with flowers in between his legs. The bird itself has lots of color to it, lots of details with the tail feathers being the best of that. Sadly the figurine is not in perfect condition but it does display perfectly. The beak has a flat chip out of the top colored in to hide it well, the tail feather sticking up the most is a bit rough but that might be from when it was made, the blue feather sticking out the side is missing its very tip and a green feather in the back is broken off as shown. A bit of damage but like I said he still displays superbly and any decent restorer could bring him back to perfection if that is something you want. The piece is 7.25 inches tall, 3.125 inches wide and 5.875 inches long. The bird is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed numbers and a painter's mark 23 as shown.
