Lidded Kakiemon Flask / Vase

This is a superb octagonal bottle vase / flask with its lid made by Meissen in the 20th century. It has a superb shape to it and is painted in the Kakiemon style with an amazing floral design all around very much in the original Japense style. The colors are blue, red, turquoise and some gold highlights. The lid has a gold design to it - not sure it really adds much to the piece but it's nice to ha ve it. Not a shape or design one sees often at all! The piece is in perfect condition which is always a bonus. It is about 8.5 inches tall plus 0.875 inches if you add the lid and has a diameter of 4.25 inches. The vase is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual other marks as shown. First choice off course since I would always mention it otherwise.
