Small Marcolini Period Basket

This is a reticulated basket made by Meissen in the late 18th century. I have not seen this version before but I do own a larger similar version from the same period. This one here has a round shape to it and is hand painted with two larger flowers as well as two smaller ones and two garlands to the sinde but the ebst part is the outside design. There is lots of relief work in the shape of roses and leaves that are painted pink and green and the base has leaf galrands held up by yellow rings all around as well as a few small flwoers and a nice design along the bottom edge. A cherry piece that looks superb and with those handle the perfect example of the classical period when Meissen was under control of Graf Marcolini. The basket is marked underneath with the blue under glaze crossed swords with the star under it as well as the number 11. The basket is in great condition with a firing flaw to one of the handles that was ground down a bit at the factory and a small area of tiny chips that was colored in to hide them very well along the bottom edge. There is a small factory repair under one of the ahdnles done with porcelain. It displays superbly! The piece is 5.25 inches tall not including the handles, 7.75 inches wide including the handles and 6.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
