Mars Figurine

This is a figurine of a little putto representing Mars with his shield made by Meissen in about 1750. He is sitting on a rectangular pedestal holding his fancy shield on his lap in front of him. The shield is decorated with a small floral arrangement and lot of gold detail. He is wearing a helmet with some feathers on it which is quite nice. The helmet is a matte black color so it was likely originally a silver luster color which has tarnished over time. The figurine is in top condition with almost no wear at all and the only minor issue I can find is that heleft hand that is leaning on the pedestal looks like it is a bit chipped underneath though very likely from the making and not later and cannot be seen unless you turn him over and look for it. The bottom of the base is flat and filled with only the air hole in it. It is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords on the back of the base and a puce number 10. underneath. The figure is 3.375 inches tall, 2.375 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
