A Little Bit Of Everything Plate

This is a really fun plate made by Meissen in the mid 18th century to jsut about 1750 since the flowers are already in the Deutsche Blumen style rather than the woodcut ones from 1740 or earlier. I call this decoration a the little bit of everything for obvious reasons. If you like flowers - it has them, if you like fruit scenes - it has those as well, if you like bugs - it has three superb bugs on the rim, if you like bird scenes - it has that and if you like animals - it has that as well in the form of a badger plus there are relief floral designs to the paste called the Gotzkowski erhabene Blumen which is also really nice. My favorite part is the badger which is my first on Meissen porcelain :) The general design of the plate is the same style also used for the St. Andrews Service and the Tsarina Elizabeth I of Russia Service but the decoration is different and a nice mix for someone who cannot decide what their favorite decoration is :) The plate is in great condition with some wear to the brown edge trim and knife marks to the central design which shows but it still displays very nicely and is definitely for the guy (or gal) liking all designs on one single piece :) Some minor firing issues common to these early pieces. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.75 inches so a nice size. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as shown as well as an impressed 22.
