Superb Bird Scene Soup Plate

This is a nice deep / soup plate made by Meissen in the mid 18th century around 1750. It is hand painted with a superb bird scene in the center including two birds sitting on branches with some greenery around them as well as some really nice bugs / insects scattered all around as well as a basket weave design to the paste of the rim and a gold trim to the edge. A really stunning example! The piece is 1.75 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. The plate is in superb condition with some minimal wear and displays perfectly! Marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
