Woodcut Flowers Cane Handle

This is a rare early cane / umbrella handle made by Meissen around 1740 or a touch earlier. It is hand painted with three superb floral arrangements in the woodcut style as well as three tiny single flowers. The painting is of top quality and looks amazing. Nice shape to the piece as well which still fits in today! Just needs a can to attach it to and voila off you go :) The handle is just under 2.5 inches tall and has a top diameter of just over 1.5 inches. It is unmarked which is normal but there is no question as to who made it and when by looking at the quality and style of painting. The piece is in superb condition with just a touch of wear which does not show except in the enlarges pictures. It displays perfectly! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
