Mid 18thC Spoon w/Small Chips

This is a rare early spoon made by Meissen in about 1750. A rare early survivor. Not entirely sure what it was for but it might ahve been a version of the butter spoon with the ribbed shell design to the front. I could not find another example like it. Either way it is a superb piece with the shell design as the bowl part and a nice handle. It has lots of hand painted flowers / fruit to it. There is a floral arrangement to the top of the bowl and plums / cherries to the bottom. The thin part of the handle has a little flower to both the top and bottom side and the thicker end has a pear design to the top and a small floral arrangement to the bottom. Some nice molded details to the porcelain as wel. It's a great looking spoon! A top notch example and amazing that it survived all these years. The piece is in good condition with a small chip to the left corner of the bowl and some minor chipping to the right edge of the front of the bowl but it displays superbly! The piece is actually marked which is not that common. Most are unmarked so it is really nice to find a marked example. It has the under glaze blue crossed swords to the bottom wher the bowl and the handle meet. The spoon is 5.625 inches long. The bowl is 1.5 inches long, 1.375 inches wide and 0.375 inches deep.
