Mid 18thC Floral Cup & Saucer w/Relief Flowers

This is an early cup and saucer made by Meissen in about 1750. Both pieces are hand painted with superb larger floral arrangements as well as a few single flowers on the saucer and a small floral arrangement and single flowers to the outside of the cup and another floral arrangement to the inside bottom. What makes this set a bit more special is the relief floral blossom design to the rims. That looks really nice. Brown trim to the edges and puce trim to the nicely shaped handle of the cup. The set is in great condition with the yellow flower on the suacer having been worn from stacking or long term use and there was some flaking to the brown trim mainly on the cup which was colored in to hide it better. Could be done better but it works. Firing flaw by the mark on the underside of the saucer but it does not go through the top. The set displays very nicely! The saucer is about 1.125 inches tall and 5.75 inches in diameter. The cup is just under 2 inches tall and 3.625 inches in diameter. So a nice larger set. Both pieces are marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark that are straight and an impressed number 24 as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
