Strawflower Cup & Saucer

This is a nice early cup and saucer set made by Meissen around 1750. It is quite hard to find one of these early sets these days. Both pieces are hand painted with the well known strawflower design used by so many makers. The design goes all around and there is a bit of a design to the handle as well. The inside of the saucer and inside of the cup have a ribbed design to it to give it a bit of extra texture. A nice touch! The set is in great condition with the bottom terminal of the handle having a crack in it as shown. A very common issue on these early pieces and not a huge deal but... Two brown spots to the bottom inside of the cup and two very tiny fleabits to the outside edge. Impossible to spot when on display and the set displays superbly! The cup is 1.875 inches tall and just over 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is just under 1.25 inch tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. Both are marked underneath with the early under glaze blue crossed swords mark from this period as shown plus some blue painter's marks and impressed number.
