Mid 18thC Tankard w/Zinc Mounts

This is a nice early tankard / stein / mug / lidded cup made by Meissen in the mid 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb floral arrangement to the front in the typical early Deutsche Blumen style and colors with my favorite flower being the iris sticking out the top. There is a smaller upside down arrangement on the other side and lots of smaller single flowers and elaves filling in the rest of the space. The handle has two flowers and a leaf or blossom to it with some puce trim to the nice bottom terminal. The piece still has its original zinc mounts which is nice. There is an old coin looking design in the center though I am unsure of it is a coin or just part of the design. On silver example there was often a silver coin so this might just be some sort of imitation of that sort of feature. From underneath it does look like it is a coin or medal. The lid is even marked by a maker's mark underneath the lid though I could not find it anywhere to ID the maker of the zinc. The tankard is in superb condition no chips, wear, etc. One small paint flake to a blosson and the occasional black firing spot normal to early wares. The zink has its issues with some scratches, dents, a crack near the hinge as shown and a possible repair in that area but hey they are over 250 years old and zinc is fairly soft. Just happy it's still there! One part of the hinge is missing a small piece as well. The underside of the porcelain is faintly marked with the blue crossed swords. A bit hard to see but they are there as is an impressed numer 6 or 9 as shown. The entire piece is 8.25 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The coin looking piece is of Jesus on the cross and says Als Die Sterbenden (as the dying) and underneath it states Gedult (patience). The underside has Und siehe wir Leben (and see that we are living) as well as ueberwindet (overcomes) on it. Plus 2 Cor. (for Corintians) 6 and 9 I believe. I found a silver medal (which this is not) with the same scenes to it - one being of Jesus' crucifixion and one of his resurrection. A neat piece for sure!
