Dulong Floral & Bird Scenes Plate

This is a nice early deep / soup plate made by Meissen in about 1750. A nicely shaped piece with a relief design called the Dulong relief around the edge of the well and the rim. There are four panels along the rim with superbly hand painted bird scenes in them. Two have a single bird sitting on a branch and two of the panels have two birds sitting on a branch. Each panel is surrounded by a gold trim. The center of the plate has a large floral arrangement on one side with two smaller single flowers filling in the rest of the space. The edge has a simple gold trim to it. A great looking plate! The plate is in superb condition with some minor wear (mostly to the large purple blossom) as shown. It displays superbly! The plate is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark on the underside as well as an impressed number as shown. The piece is 2 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter.
