Putti & Cherub Figurine

This is a figurine of a little putto with a cherub next to her made by Meissen in about 1765. The putto has her hand around a flaming heart the cherub is holding and is wearing just a pink cloth around her waist with gilt flowers to it. The Cherub is holding the flaming heart that he probably jsut lit with the torch he is holding in his other hand. He has a quiver on his back. Both are standing on a simple rectangular base with a gold trim to the edge. The piece displays nicely and is in great condition for the age but the cherub has lost his wings and there are some very minor tiny chips to one of her fingers, her cloth and the very tip of the flame. These chips are as minor as they come and don't take away from the piece and the wings could be redone or ground down to hide the issue completely. He also has an air bubble that popped on his left knee and she has one on her cheek. The figure is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords with the dot between the bottom part on the udnerside and an impressed number to the top of the base as shown. A really nice figurine! The piece is 4.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 1.625 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
