Prunus Blossom Relief Saucer

This is a nice early saucer made by Meissen in the mid 18th century probably jsut after 1740. The dish is decorated with the raised prunus blossom on the underside and is otherwise left plain white to show of their porcelain - white was more treasured than painted back then! The piece is in great condition with some of the usual early manufacturing flaws like tiny inclusions and tiny black firing spots. That is completely normal on these early wares! There is a small chip to the foot ring only visible from the inside so it does not sow when on display. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords underneath as shown as well as an impressed number 2. The saucer is 5.125 inches in diameter and 1.125 inches tall.
