Miniature Squirrel Figurine

This is a a miniature squirrel figurine made by Meissen in the later 19th century. An earlier version than most one comes across it is modeled nicely and hand painted with lots of detail as one would expect from the top maker. The piece is superb condition (white spots on its ears are just reflections). The little guy or gal is marked with the blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed / incised marks and a painter's number 21. as shown. The piece is 1.625 inches tall, 0.625 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
