Miniature Lady with Umbrella Figurine

This is a fun and rare true miniature figurine made by Meissen in the 1750's. These are the earliest miniatures you can find by them and they are really fun pieces to look at and even though they are tiny they show the typical Meissen quality! The figure is of a lady dressed nicely holding an umbrella for a rainy or possibly a sunny day. The has a pink skirt on with a superb floral blouse and is wearing a tricorn hat. Nice base with a single flower on the front. A well modeled piece and extremely well painted especially the flowers on her top. She displays perfectly but the umbrella broke off at some point in the past and was reglued which doesn't who on display. The bottom end of the embrella handle is chipped and there is a tiny flake to the base which is hard to spot. She is a bit larger than the other minitures I own but still small. The figurine is 2.875 inches tall, 1.25 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. She is marked on the back of the base as shown and already has the small vent hole typical for larger Meisen pieces to the base underside and quite obviously Meissen!
