Mushroom Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Meissen around 1800. The set is handpainted with arrangements of flowers, fruit, veggies and mushrooms. Something a bit different from the normal flower decorations! The set is in great condition with the gilding worn a bit on the edges. There is the tiniest of nibbles to the saucer edge but needs to be felt rather than seen to find it. Both are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark with the star of the Marcolini period around 1800. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
