Napoleon Bust

This is a rare bust of Napoleon made by Meissen in about 1820 during the Schmierzeit. A very well modeled piece left in the unglazed porcelain as to not obscure any detail with glaze. Biscuit pieces are very crisp and thus very popular amoung collector and one of a famous person such as Napoleon is just superb! The figurine is in perfect condition with a bit of dirt and a minor firing flaw here and there. It is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords as well as the usual incised model number and impressed numbers of the period.
