Amazing Scenic Plaque

This is a really nice and early plaque made by Meissen in about 1740. Definitely mean to be a plaque and not cut from a plate or such since the rough edge is in the front and has some of the painting go into it instead of being plain porcelain. It is not flat but has a shape to it as if it was meant to cover something but not enough to be a lid of a box or something like that. I am however not sure how it was meant to be displayed but definitely where the back was visible as well since they made it a point to give the back a very nice and unusual relief design as shown. The front of the piece has a superbly hand painted scene to it including a family sitting down with the gentleman holding a bird cage and the daughter petting a sheep. The son is hiding in the greenery behind the couple in front of some sort of column or monument likely to play a trick on them knowing how my son is. There are some buildings in the far distance and lots of trees, etc. all around. A really really top quality piece! The back side has a really unusual and nice design to it that you'll need to see in the pictures since it is hard to describe. The plaque is in superb condition with a couple of stray cut marks in the white area but otherwise it is perfect. The round plaque is sitting in a thin round metal frame with a nice design to the inner edge. The metal frame sits in a nice old wooden frame. Looks superb together. The wooden frame has a hanger to the back for hanging on the wall. The plaque is about 3.75 inches in diameter and the frame is about 5.875 inches square and 0.75 inches thick. It is not marked but definitely by them from this period. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
