Female Duck Figurine

This is a fun figurine of a female duck made by Meissen in the mid 20th century. Originally modeled in 1949 by Erich Oehme. A very cute figurine that is nicely modeled and off course superbly hand painted. The duck is preening itself. The figure is in perfect condition which is always a bonus. The piece is 5.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. The bird is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers and a painter's mark as shown.
