Red Tiger / Lion Creamer

This is a porcelain creamer made by Meissen in about 1934. It is hand painted with the hard to find red Tiger / Lion ( Roter Löwe ) design with the tiger on one side and a nice bird to the other side. The Kakiemon designs and colors are some of the most beautiful ones on porcelain I think! There are some Kakiemon style flowers as well and the nicely shaped top rim has a bit of gold trim to it. The handle has some gold trim to it as well and it has in two gold leaves on the bottom terminal. The piece is in superb condition! It is just over 3.5 inches tall, 3.875 inches from handle to spout and 2.75 inches wide. The creamer is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. as shown. I also have the sugar dish up on the site if anyone is interested in both. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
