Porcelain Potter Figurine

This is a fsuperb figurine of a potter made by Meissen in the 20th century. It shows how porcelain was formed back in the 18th century and even today this is still used by some people making pottery as a hobby. The figure is sitting on a wooden bench with a small pot next to him while turning the wheel with his feet and forming a new item with his hands. Another pot by his feet. He is superbly modeled and modestly dressed in a blue and purple outfit. All this is on a base with some nice gold highlighted scrolls around the front. A really nice figurine that is perfect for the porcelain collector! The figurine is in perfect condition and first quality. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed numbers and a red 22. as a painter's mark. Also Germany in blue printed along the edge of the underside base. The piece is 7.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
