Kakiemon Lidded Beaker Cup

This is an amazing and very early double handled beaker cup and its lid made by Meissen in about 1730. It is very rare to find one of these early pieces with its lid! Both pieces are hand painted with superb Kakiemon style scene with Chrysanthemum / Peony flowers in the typical style and color palette. A nice design to the front and back of the cup with a bit of red trim to each handle. The lid has a similar design to it in the same colors with a nice purple and red trim to the edge and turquoise colored pine cone finial. Turquoise bird flying above the flowers. A really nice looking lidded cup and both are in absolutely perfect condition! The set is 3.75 inches tall, 4 inches from handle to handle and 3 inches in diameter. The cup is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark from this period underneath. No numbers yet as they started being used later but there are two dots imprinted into the foot ring which is a Dreher's mark. This cup came with a Vienna saucer that is a perfect match so much so that I think it might have been painted for this cup but since it is a different maker I will list it separately.
