Prunus Blossom Beaker & Saucer #3

This is a really nice early beaker type chocolate cup and saucer made by Meissen in about 1740. The set is decorated with the raised prunus blossom on the underside of the saucer and around the sides of the cup and are otherwise left plain white to show of their porcelain - white was more treasured than painted back then! The handle of the cup is superb and a typical early shape! Both the cup & saucer are in great condition with just a couple of inclusions to the inside bottom of the cup from when it was made. Both pieces are marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords underneath as shown. The cup is a touch earlier and does not have an impressed number yet just the letter D while the saucer has an impressed 63 as shown and is a touch later than the cup so the set dates right around 1740. The saucer is 5.375 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall. The cup is 2.875 inches tall and has a diameter 2.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
