Puce Scene Coffee Pot

This is a super coffee pot made by Meissen in the dot period around 1760. It is handpainted with two different scenes on the pot - one of a man riding a horse with a bird in his hand in an elaborate landscape and the other is of a deer also in an elaborate landscape. Super detailed and all done in different tones of puce. A few flowers here and there are also very ncie and the handle with the leaves and gold decor as well as the spout are really nice, too. The lid has a rose finial and a small landscape painted on one side and the leaves coming of the finial on the other. The superb puce scenes were most likely painted by Christian Friedrich Kühnel who was a painter at Meissen from 1740/41 on for a long time. He is famous for his landscape, hunting a war scenes. The piece is in superb condition. Almost no wear to the gold and only the tiniest of nibbles on the rose finial. An in the making small spot on the rim but glazed over. So pretty much perfect and a good 240 years old. Marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords with the dot between the hilts and the lid has the impressed numbers 2 and 90. The pot is 10.25 inches tall with the lid and 5.25 inches in diameter without the spout and handle. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
