Puce Flowers Sugar Dish

This is a nice early lidded sugar dish made by Meissen in about 1745. It is hand painted with some nice puce floral arrangements as well as since flowers with a nice relief design to the paste as shown. The lid has a large flower finial that is very nice. Gold trim to the edge of the lid. The box is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gilding a spot of minor nibbling along the very edge of the lid and some very minor nibbling to the finial. It displays perfectly and looks really nice! The dish with its lid is 3.75 inches tall including the finial and has a diameter of 4.25 inches. It is marked underneath with the impressed number 6 and a very faint crossed sowrds mark int he center that has faded due to the underside being unglazed!
