Putto Riding Dolphin Figurine

This is a really fun figurine of a putto riding a dolphin made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the 20th century so it is almost a true antique now :) Definitely based on an 18th century model by the look of that great dolphin! The putto is mostly nude but strategically covered with a yellow cloth. It is holding a piece of red corral in its hand as if playing catch with the dolphin kind of like a dog with a stick. An amazingly modeld piece and a very hard to find model! Amazingly it is in perfect condtion! The figure is 4.5 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 3 inches long. The figure is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath the base as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. of the period as shown.
