Rare & Amazing Ring

This is a very rare ring made by Meissen in the 19th century. The center has an oval porcelain medallion that is hand painted with that superb cobalt blue ground color with some fancy gilding and a superb polychrome floral arrangement on white ground in the center. The porcelain piece is mounted in silver with a nice design to the sides. The ring is pretty small in terms of finger size. It doesn't even fit my pinky finger :( The width of the inside of the loop is 0.75 inches. The porcelain piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark as shown - 1st quality and the silver is marked 900 on the bottom of the inside of the loop as shown. The entire piece together is 0.75 inches wide, 0.875 inches tall and 1.125 inches long. It is in great condition with a little wear to the gold trim as shown. Slight oxidation to the silver. It displays very well and looks super elegant. I have rarely ever seen a ring by them and never a cobalt blue version so it is a special piece for sure. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
