Red Tiger Kakiemon Vase #2

This is a superb porcelain trumpet shaped vase made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period between 1924 and 1934. It is hand painted with the hard to find red Tiger / Dragon / Lion ( Roter Löwe ) design with the tiger on one side and a nice yellow crane bird to the other side. The Kakiemon designs and colors are some of the most beautiful ones on porcelain I think! There are some Kakiemon style flowers as well and the top and bottom rims have a bit of gold trim to it. The piece is in perfect condition! It is 6.375 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter at the top. The vase is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the tops (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown and a painter's mark 53. in red. I have the matching second piece if anyone is interested in a rare and really nice looking pair of these. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
