Reticulated Royal Court Plate

This is a rare porcelain plate made by Meissen in 1903. It is hand painted with the superb yellow Tiger ( Gelber Löwe ) pattern made for the Saxon Royal Court. A really nice Kakiemon design on a nicely reticulated plate made for royalty and likely still used by them - it does not get much bettter than this!! The edge has reticulated panels alternating with sold ones that ahve small Kakiemon style flowers in them but the central design is top notch! It was made to be used in the royal Court kitchens as shown by the writing on the back. This plate is in perfect condition. It is 1.5 inches tall and 9.375 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers and has the black writing for the royal kitchen underneath - Königl. (for Königliche) Hofwirtschaft 1903 . I ahve a second peice if anyone would be interested in an extremely rare pair! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1999
