Rose Flower Coffee Set

This is a great coffee or hot chocolate set for 5 made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the late 1920s. Each piece is hand painted with their pink rose design including flowers in full bloom, buds and leaves. The handles of the pot and creamer as well as the cups are in the shape of swans which is stunning. Nice floral finial to the lids. The set consists of a large pot and its lid, a creamer, a sugar dish with its lid, 5 small plates as well as 5 cups and 5 saucers. Consider it being a set for 4 with a spare :) Or one could fairly easily find another set to make it one for six people. The pieces are all in good condition with one cup having a small chip out of the side of the beak of the handle top. The sizes are as follows: The pot is 12 inches tall with a diameter of about 5.5 inches. The creamer is 6.125 inches tall with a diameter of 2.75 inches. The cups are 3.125 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucers are 5.75 inches in diameter and about 1.25 inches tall. The sugar dish is 4 inches tall and 3.5 inches in daimeter and the small plates are 7 inches in diameter. All pieces are marked with the udner glaze blue crossed swords mark as shown. Most pieces have two cuts across the marks likely due to a few tiny black firing flaws from the making which do no distract nor are they obvious. The 5 cups and 3 saucer are first choice the other two saucers also have two cuts across the mark. All in all a stunning set and one that would look stunning when you use it for your guests.
